About the event
A series of FREE tours led by historians that will cover detailed aspects of the battle that took place at Perryville on October 8th, 1862. Each tour will be 90-120 minutes in duration. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water as there is often a fair amount of walking on hilly terrain! These tours will take place all over the Perryville, Kentucky area on public and at times private property.
Friday
4:30 P. M. - BUSHROD! We will meet at the Bottom House where Darryl Smith will delve into the Buckeye Quaker and his Confederate brigade.
Saturday
9:00 A. M. - Derrick Lindow will lead us on an in depth look at Sterling Alexander Martin Wood's Confederate brigade.
11:00 A. M. - Mississippians! Taylor Bishop will break down Jones' Brigade on what will probably be the hilliest tour of the weekend.
