I have a mission and thought others might want to enjoy a winter hike. I plan on hiking most of the trails at Camp Nelson, with a goal of grabbing a few pictures of Fort Jones for an upcoming blog article on the man the fort is named after. We'll meet at Camp Nelson National Monument by 9:30 and hike 4-5 miles. Mostly flat trails, but with some good elevation changes near Fort Jones. The weather is calling for light snow in the morning, less than an inch accumulation, and temps in the low 20s. Dress in layers, wear sturdy footwear, and let's enjoy a hike. After the hike I plan on eating at Copper River Grill in Nicholasville for those who might want to join.

The facilities at Camp Nelson will NOT be open so plan accordingly!
