The Perryville Symposium is this weekend!
Be sure to check the event page to stay up to date with the schedule. Also, we will be putting updates on the Facebook group (The Western Theater in the Civil War) on where we are meeting and when.
To get us started, Darryl Smith will be leading a tour Friday night (10/18) on the initial movements and skirmishes toward Perryville. Meet in the town of Perryville itself near St. Mary Catholic Church. We will congregate near the church in the parking lot before we caravan to the tour locations. The tour starts at 5:00, so we advise arriving a bit early.
There are three places to park:
Along South Buell Street (Merchant's Row)
St. Mary Catholic Church parking lot (Corner of South Buell Street and West 3rd Street-marked in red on the map)
Empty gravel lot (Corner of South Buell Street and West 2nd Street-marked in red on the map)
